The inactivity timeout is EXTREMELY ANNOYING and ruins

The inactivity timeout is EXTREMELY TIRING and annoying. This "feature" is undocumented, but after 10 minutes of inactivity (not computer inactivity, just not reading/writing to/from the hard drive) the drive locks up and you have to re-enter the code to access the drive . You cannot set the length of time and you cannot turn off the time limit. Micronet Support has stated that this behavior is intended to prevent access to your data while you are away. Love the fact that even if someone breaks into my office/house and steals it, the hardware encryption works - very hard to crack unless you're a big gamer haha. One thing: the instructions are very cryptic! For example, it doesn't say anywhere how to lock data again, what the

Normal performance. Budget SSD from Sandisk inside (according to diagnostics), so it probably won't beat the latter in heavy use. (I have a 256GB model as well as a couple of 512GB models; they all have Sandisk drives from the same "cheap" line of products.) Thought it would only be good for photos and movies, but 10 minutes left - outside of "idle". kill it for almost any purpose.
