🔳 Set of 3 White Rectangle Farberware Plastic Cutting Boards Review

I needed some replacement chopping boards but didn't want to spend a fortune. Farberware has always had a great brand name so I decided to give them a try. I received them quickly and was very happy with the quality. They are thinner than expected, but still sturdy and well made. I would buy them again if I need another set.

Cutting boards seem to be intended for single use after a relatively short period of use. I've had them for a month now and they're already showing noticeable wear. They're very thin so don't weigh much, so they slide around the counter when you try to use them. They're great for a weekend getaway or RV, but look for something more substantial for home use.

Love the 3 sizes and how thin they are. They warp and get a little dirty the more you use them. Personally, I'm not interested in either at this price. I can live with one stain as long as I know it's clean, and I can wash all three in the dishwasher without taking up much room. If stain bothers you, put it in the sink with some bleach for 5 minutes and the stain will disappear.

I've had these since July 2020. I cook a lot at home and chop a lot of tomatoes, carrots and red peppers. The cutting board that I use the most is now heavily discolored. It also has ridges that I can feel with my fingers. These are places where bacteria hide, although I often wash them in the dishwasher. Rather disappointed in them. I like the light weight and they work like cutting boards, but at least for me they are short lived.

All three planks are a far cry from the advertised thickness of 0.47" (see uploaded photo). They were all literally 0.187" (3/16") thick. None in near the listed thickness. They will still work fine but BUYERS BEWARE they are very thin! They do NOT look like typical (+/- 1/2") plastic cutting boards. Just make sure they are not in the bottom compartment of the We expect that on one of these occasions, plastic "potato shavings" will come out of our dishwasher.

After buying this as a cutting board I found that it doesn't cut well on plastic. This poses a health hazard. The company is aware of this, but as long as they sell products - who cares! I used the middle one as a lid for a canning jar for my cat to eat on the board in my truck. I used the large board on our bed as a flat surface for my water bowl. A small board I gave away after telling the person NOT to use it as a cutting board.

Polypropylene material is good as expected. However, these boards are incredibly thin. I measured 1/8 inch (0.125 inch) each. They're too light to be stable, and they're sideways too. That is, one side lies flat and has resistance to rotation, while the other side rotates easily on the tabletop. In the product description, the dimensions were "16 x 0.5 x 11 inches". These cutting boards work fine although they are thinner than expected. I'd say three of these combined are the same thickness as my previous cutting boards. In terms of use they do the job but don't expect them to be durable if you're carrying heavier food/meat on them. They are easy to care for and light in weight and can be washed in the dishwasher.
