I bought this to replace a 40 year old original Farberware pot that needed replacing because it was accidentally left on fire and burned the pot rendering it unusable. The new pans use a stainless steel base, while the old pans were covered in aluminum, which distributes heat better. The quality of the stainless steel is good, but inferior to the ok'd pans. What didn't stick to good pots will stick to new ones. Luckily the new pots are ok. All in all a good pot for the price.

I love this little pot for soup, pasta and potatoes. This is the perfect size for a single person or a couple when cooking in batches. There is no vent hole in the lid, which I knew about when I bought it, so make sure it's boiling. What surprised me was how hot the grips get. Update February 2019… Now I got 1 star for this pan after rating it much higher once and then resetting it when it started to sharpen.
