I have thicker and coarser hair. It dried my ends really badly and my hair felt weird. It has a strong smell. In my opinion. But I'm sensitive to smells. I have fine frizzy hair and I'm always looking for something to tame my frizzy hair without weighing it down because it definitely doesn't need to. This product still works well, it gives my curls a smoother look and also keeps them manageable and calm. A little goes a long way and if you use too much your hair will get a little sticky. This is the only heat protectant I buy for the following reasons: 1) Safe formula. The ingredients, at least the first 5, have an EWG hazard rating of 1, meaning basically no hazard, which I like.
