It could work a little better, but it's very good

It doesn't seem to work as well as ChipQuik, but it works quite well. If you're repairing equipment with lead-free solder, use it. Not only for SMD, but also for through holes. It's also great for preserving brittle solder pads on vintage hardware made with tin-lead solder.

Pros
  • Lot
Cons
  • Big and bulky

works exactly as expected

This works exactly as expected. In fact, it's just a low-temperature solder that stays liquid for a very long time. This gives you time to work on the desoldering. It kinda mixes with the original solder and holds the heat in or on it so you can easily pull out the pins and components and/or suck up the solder and that alloy to release the chip or something like that. Many videos on this popular video site show how to use this type of product. It works exactly as expected hence 5 stars from me.

Ideal for SMD removal

Works! Thanks to a Youtube video, a man who repairs circuit boards for a living explains why you need a SMD soldering station. His explanation was that he does it professionally. Thus, the soldering station ensures efficiency in its time, because we all know that time is money. For us occasional hobbyists and/or do-it-yourselfers, however, a soldering station is not necessary. What we need is surface mount solder. So I decided to take a chance and had great success with this alloy. Simple…

Pros
  • Welding and soldering
Cons
  • No power
