Be careful when tightening nuts for several reasons.

Align and tighten once. If you need to loosen them, the coating on the bolt and nut will cause the threads to seize and the nut to freeze onto the bolt. I ended up taking the tire off the plastic, shearing off the bolts and replacing the bolts and fasteners with grade 5 stainless steel. Also, I had a twist/twist on the stud in the plastic, so I would recommend you take the tire off the plastic, tighten the screws and reassemble.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • boring packaging

Don't settle for anything less

I bought these bus bars to install in my toy dump truck. Let's face it, these manufacturers only supply certain things. Let's face it, most general buyers aren't mechanical or electrical at heart. Those of us who cringe and just update or change it to our liking. They really surprised me when they arrived. They are well made and exceeded my expectations. I would 100% recommend them and would probably buy a few more for other projects.

Threads stick when nuts are removed

I had 2/2 nuts frozen trying to remove them. I just rearranged some cables and ended up having to pull out the dremel to free the cables. Hardware is not very good quality. I do not recommend this product. It looks great right out of the box, seems to work fine for the first connection but I suspect I'll need to use the remaining connections more with the Dremel over the next few days. Too bad. I like how they look.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Not the quality I expected

Yesterday I put it on my jeep. My jeep has too many things going to the positive power terminal when tested so I figured this would be perfect. When installing it I decided to move one of the wires from one of the terminals to the other and when I tried to loosen one of the nuts it got stuck. Now the nut was frozen to the rack and the cord was dangling, so I had to cut it with a hacksaw. I'm not a newbie to mechanics and didn't dress up. It's just very poor quality or I have a lemon. The other…

Scraped plastic and a broken screw.

I'm giving no stars as this is my second tie bar and I had no issues with the first but had a pretty bad experience with this last tie bar I ordered. First, the plastic hex recess for the first bolt didn't hold the head when I tightened the nut and the bolt head spun in the recess. I had to remove the metal cover to access the bolt head when trying to loosen the nut. When I then tried to loosen it, the nut jammed and the bolt broke. I was able to unlock a single connection block that I was no…
