I'm Taking Too Long For Hitch Clips & Pins

It's a bit longer than the one I'm looking to replace, hopefully still works and will stop my runaway camper, but if it does I'll be in big trouble

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Quality

Important Safety Device

I like the twisted pair connection cable, it's much better than the old design. For the first time on our new caravan, the OEM connector cable fell onto the pavement and broke in two. That doesn't happen with this stretchable spiral wire.

Pros
  • Durable Test Results
Cons
  • Negative Impression

Great product in the towing and winching category

Much better than the cable that came with my van. No more fiddling around trying to give a broken cable the right amount of slack so it doesn't drag on the floor or get pulled too tight. I've been using it for 8 months and apart from being a bit faded it still looks perfect with no damage.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Hard to say

Perfect solution! for hitch accessories

Worked great to replace the overly long detachable cable that came with the trailer. This is a great solution to replacing that cable and providing spool flexibility while managing excess length. NOTE: 4 feet is pretty short. See the photo, our distance is very small. For larger trailers you will need a 6ft trailer.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Much cleaner than my dangling cord

That curl (I've never written that word before, I always thought curl tip was two words). much cleaner than the dangling line that came out of the factory. This cable is just long enough to reach the pin lock on my hitch. And when my rig is in storage, it sits nicely on the pin and doesn't sag.

Pros
  • Great value for money
Cons
  • Upgradable

Ok sorry I didn't order a longer one

This worked well to keep the wire from the safety switch from snagging under the fifth wheel. The only thing I would like to do is order a 6ft instead of a 4ft. It stretches a little when the pendant turns sharply. Haven't pulled the fuse yet. I'm not sure what length would be best for a standard trailer, but depending on where the safety switch is located, a longer size might be a better choice for a fifth wheel.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Great product, great idea!

Buy the 6ft version if you need a 4ft cable! This is exactly what I needed! Very good replacement for the standard breakaway cable that was always hanging on the ground or getting tangled in my safety chains. However, I strongly recommend the 6ft version over the 4ft version as the reel tension is so tight that an additional 2ft version will suffice even if you think you won't need it.

Probably just take a 6-inch.

I like the idea of this coiled cord because my original is either lying on the floor or I have to wrap it around the chains which kind of defeats the purpose. My problem is as you can see the wire is pinched in my WD system which is made by the same company. I'll take the 6ft hoping it will sag a bit and maybe help avoid pinching. If that doesn't work, I'll probably 3D print some kind of cover where my WD rod pivots to prevent the wire from breaking, like this one.

Need some work for my use.

Works as advertised but has two disadvantages. The cable is not long enough to get from the toad brake switch to the RV chassis where it needs to be secured in the event of a hitch failure. I had to add an extra 18" cable for connection. The pull pin is permanently attached to the cable so you must leave the cable at the front of the Toad when removing it (a great target for a child to steal from) or use a second pin to prevent the brakes from locking up when the Toad is on separated from the…

Pros
  • Coupling clips and pins
Cons
  • Some disadvantages
