🚿 Delta T14264-BL Ashlyn Monitor 14 Series Shower Trim Only, Matte Black (Rough Not Included) Review

Good looking but thin. The lever and spout are the only durable parts in the kit. It works to freshen up a tub pre-sale, but I wouldn't use it in a new house once installed. The kit includes a new cartridge that may not fit your Delta valve body if manufactured before 2006. I was able to swap out the old top for the new one and everything worked perfectly.

The product looks and works well. As I feared, the pressure for this shower head is not up to standard. I removed the o-ring stopper and that helped a lot with the print. We really like the double pressure/temperature control, so we were sure that when we rebuilt we would get the same type again. We chose the Delta 17 series because the 2 souls we replaced were Delta 1700 monitor mounts and they have lasted 20 years with no problems!

I'm not a big fan of rain showers, but this is NOT the shower. Also, I like strong water pressure, so let me tell you a secret. Take out the water saver (the gray thing that screws in) and then also remove the tiny black rubber pad inside. I didn't remove the gasket at first, but it really made a big difference. You may have to use tweezers to pull it out. Then get ready for the best shower of your life! On the downside, it's a sharp shower finish, but I wish the screws on the valve were hidden

this set is the best! I installed this, plus the rough valve recommended under the description. I didn't need a tub spout connector so I just got the HF valve. This was all done from the front of a fiberglass shower with no rear access. I had to use the thin wall plate recommended in the kit instructions. The fact that I had plexiglass tubing and no copper and kept the original plexiglass fittings made this job a cakewalk. But I can guarantee it won't be that easy for everyone. I'm no plumber…
