Disappointing Seal for Performance Cars

As a result of my tests, I determined that this seal failed to withstand the demands of automotive use. The performance was subpar and it leaked oil, causing significant damage to the engine. The only positive is that it was easy to install. However, the cons outweigh the pros, making it an unsuitable choice for performance car enthusiasts in need of a reliable seal.

Pros
  • High-quality oil seal that effectively prevents leaks and extends the lifespan of machinery.
Cons
  • Requires proper installation and may wear out over time with heavy usage.

Get a two piece instead, like OEM

Didn't know the OEM had a two piece design until I took it all apart. Went ahead and installed them. Even after polishing the axle, it started leaking after a few weeks.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • There are nuances

Stick to OEM bearings and seals

Small leak on passenger side only. Since I had to remove the differential, I also swapped the driver's side. Less than a month later, one side started leaking, and the other soon followed. Now both sides are leaking and I have to rip it apart again.

Pros
  • Axle shaft
Cons
  • too blind
