It does the job!

I've been using it with my little dog for a few weeks. It's definitely strong enough for him. I have no idea how it holds up with a big dog and my dog didn't try to chew it. We are in a small cabin in the mountains with a very rickety porch so I wrapped it around a tree next to the porch and trimmed it. Light. It's orange, not red, but I've come to terms with that.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable

Durable and works great!

When I took my dog on holiday it worked fantastic. I didn't want to keep her on a short leash outside all the time. She could go further from home, but not get lost in the forest. I also still use it for her at home when our fenced yard gets muddy from the rain. She walks on a leash and stays clean. It's very strong! I have no complaints.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • so far so good

Pros and cons of this harness

In a way, this is a great harness. The cable itself is strong and the length is comfortable. Serious flaws include the hooks, which quickly rust if left out, and the Velcro cable-connection design, which wears down small sections of the cable and exposes loose wire that cuts your hand. This would be a great leash for tying if better quality stainless steel hooks were used and the design flaw corrected (perhaps by coating the cord with a different material where it connects to the hooks).

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure
