Unreliable Performance, Disappointing Gasket

After I put it to the test on my high performance automotive engine, the gasket failed miserably. It leaked oil and caused serious engine damage, resulting in costly repairs. The only positive about this gasket is its affordable price. However, the cons far outweigh the pros when it comes to this unreliable and disappointing product. I would not recommend this gasket to anyone.

Pros
  • Provides a secure seal for the rear engine main
Cons
  • Difficult to install without proper tools and expertise

Excellent Quality_Perfect Fit_No Leaks

This was a great original rear main bearing seal. Installed on my 1976 Dodge D100 with a small block 318. Absolutely no leaks. A NOTICE. It took a long time to remove the old "rope" seal. I had to give Rube Goldberg a bendable piece of metal to get the old seal out. The new Fel-Pro fits perfectly and, most importantly, does not leak.

Pros
  • Replacement Parts
Cons
  • I have no major complaints about it, everything is fine

That's the good part. Much easier than installing other cable seal

Dodge 5.2 89-93 comes with a cable seal. The handle has line markings where the cable seal goes. Fel-Pro says this part will work. Installed the gasket with no problems. That's the good part. Much easier to install than any other cable seal, assuming you can find another. After the main cover is installed, the overhang needs to be trimmed to make room for the oil pan gasket. I haven't driven a lot of trucks, but I haven't spilled a drop of oil.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
