I keep it like a champ on my E46

I did the valve cover gasket for the first time. Fits perfectly and still holds up like a champ. I will update the review if anything changes. Installed on a 2003 BMW 330xi.

  • Good thing
Cons
  • Out of style

Excellent padding. for valve cover gasket kits

Great valve gasket. I love Fel-Pro products. Have used their gear baskets on my old car in the past. Never had a problem. Bought, expected the same and was not disappointed. Great product, great price, good quality with no leaks.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Some little things

The best there is for the BMW E46 M54.

That's why they've been number one for decades. The best gasket I have ever used on my BMW. I love this blue color that matches my Mishimoto hoses. You can't go wrong with the Fel-Pro. Also used them on my 1969 Plymouth Barracuda in the 1980's. Never any problems.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some bugs

Perfect fit for BMW E46 325i

This gasket fits my valve cover perfectly. Very flexible and thick. Spark plug gaskets also fit perfectly. You will likely want to purchase bushings, which are sold separately. Mine were badly dented and dented. Revain sells them as Fel-Pro ES 72490 sockets.

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Quality valve cover gasket set BMW

Excellent gasket set BMW 2.5 l. Everything is properly seated on the valve cover and no leaks were assured by using a red high temp RTV on the fitting side of the head. The seal was not leaking oil or vacuum, although the CCV/PCV had failed and had a large leak in it, resulting in over-pressurization at the top of the engine. The package does not include new valve cover bushings, so be sure to buy them.

Pros
  • In stock
Cons
  • Without automatic transmission

Fitment confirmed for 2003 BMW X5 e53 3.0i.

Be careful with the valve cover on the e53 engine, many people break it, take it off and take it off. The fact is that this is no small job, it can be done at home. It's quite a bit, so make sure you follow your service manuals or find videos online to see people replacing the valve cover gasket and bushings. When buying, be sure to purchase a set of grommets! Even if you have disassembled your engine, it is advisable to change the spark plugs! Get 2 tubes of caulk to do this complete job…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • There are problems

Gasket kit to fit spares

If you own a BMW E46 will you ever find your engine smoking due to a leaking valve cover gasket. A factory installed soft, flexible seal will become a hard plastic seal after a few years and will no longer seal. It usually exits the rear passenger side (exhaust), oil drips onto the hot exhaust, causing odor first and then most likely smoke. The dealer will pay you back about $500 for this repair, but with a few simple tools you can do it yourself in about an hour for less than $50. Search for…
