Description of ๐Ÿช“ Efficient Felled Bark Spud Debarking Tool: Log Peeler, Bark Removal and Stripping Tool

REMOVE BARK FROM LOGS: The Felled | Bark Remover Tool makes it easy to take the bark off of logs as it goes through the bark and separates it from the rest of the log. PRESERVE THE WOOD: Beveled blade on bark scraper meets the curvature of the log to effortlessly slide between the bark and wood and prevent damage to the log while debarking. PERFECT SIZE: 25-inch (63.5cm) overall tree debarker length; Bark stripper can be used on small to medium sized logs or even peeling oak fence post logs; Use to remove bark when splitting firewood to dry the wood faster or alternatively use in the garden when weeding, grubbing, digging, or cultivating. GRIP COMFORTABLY: 16.5-inch x 1.25-inch (41.9cm x 3.2cm) wood handle that is constructed from solid wood for less user fatigue and more productivity. BUILT TO LAST: Constructed with a 2-inch (5.1cm) wide steel blade and durable hardwood handle that can easily peel many types of bark including bark on green logs; We recommend sharpening the blade with a stone between uses for best results (not included).

Needed a little repair

The appropriate hardwood handle was attached to a well made metal debarker, blade/blade with a small mismatched Phillips head screw. The connection between the blade and the handle was very wobbly and inadequate. I had to deepen the hole and use a longer and stronger screw to hold the wooden handle firmly and securely on the metal blade/monilk.

Poor performance good for kitchen and dining room

Like other reviewers I found the tool to be poorly executed. "Edge" doesn't exist and can't cut butter. The sloppy connection of the handle and scraper has a lot of play as a very small wood screw holds them together. Luckily, following the suggestion of previous reviewers, I was able to repurpose the parser and give it an advantage. Then sand down the handle to fit snugly and use epoxy/glue to take out the remaining gap and a larger screw. If you don't have a store and don't have theโ€ฆ

effective on dead spruce

This hiller works better than I thought on our fallen spruce beetles. The piece of metal at the end of the handle looks like it might come loose because it flexes a bit, but the screws hold up after a couple of weeks of casual use (just 4 hours?). The handle is too short for long-term use on fallen logs (my back is starting to hurt), but it works well on really infested trees. Recently killed, less infested trees take too much work to remove the bark, but I'm glad there are fewer and I canโ€ฆ

Works well when used properly

This tool works well when used for its intended purpose AND the log is properly secured. I recommend looking up YouTube for various uses for jackknives and cultivators first - I sharpened them right out of the box like every cutting tool I've ever bought. about the 4th jab into the bark - it stuck and stabilized well. It's curved to work under the bark and clean around the trunk, not far. A drawknife is the best tool for working on long sections of thinner bark. However, it works well to cutโ€ฆ
