Immediately after unpacking, the chopper hardly worked. The open basket indicator did not go off. I can see where it is and how it works and there is nothing broken or wrong with the tab on the basket. The container and fit are just poorly designed. The only way to get the shredder to work was by throwing a significant amount of gifts into the trash can while shredding. Not ideal, to say the least. This chopper is the size of a hand luggage. It cuts paper in a very secure and unidentifiable way. It has an impressive safety feature: if your hand gets too close to the paper feed, it stops shredding. This machine can easily eat multiple leaves at once and is pretty quiet. This is a good premium shredder for household and small business use. It's well built, slim and tucks away nicely in a corner. The motor runs quietly (for a shredding and shredding machine). The trolley is easily accessible and emptied. The safety features and indicator lights when grinding are great features.
