I've ignored all of the research I've done on suede (you can see the other ignored clues in my review for the "Original CatHole") . My Experience: I used suede paint on a pair of premium *purple* Italian shoes (only $64 new!). The seams did not fully take on the color. Xfer also paint. Uses the black version of Resolene over the paint job. The seams are now black. Several people have tested the leather finish and Fiebing Acrylic Resolen has shown the best results. I used it on my faux leather office chair because the faux leather/plastic has come loose over a large area of the backrest; I painted it with Fiebing's Oil Die (black) and added this Fiebing's Acrylic Resolene as a finish.
