📊 Enhanced Fieldpiece SM480V SMAN Digital Manifold with Wireless Data Logging Review

Very useful for us old folks used to analog pickups and R-22. Very practical for the initial start-up. Have only used them twice so far and am still learning how to use these sensors. Don't discount cheap hoses for pennies a pound.

So far I've used them mainly in laboratory conditions, from this experience I can attest that they are as good as their peers and just as accurate or even more accurate than other popular brands. that the supplied clamps do not fit 1/4 inch hoses. So if you are going to work with this, get a matching clamp or modify the clamp that comes with it. This isn't an issue when you transition to wireless clamps.

I was very excited and happy to use this new tool. On the second day the batteries are dead, change the batteries, on the third day the batteries are dead again, change the batteries again. The device never turned on again, I used it for two days. Sent a week ago, still not returned. Not at all satisfied because I need a replacement and my money is tied up with the seller who sent me the defective unit. Not happy with the whole experience

A defective block arrived with a vacuum leak in the manifold. When I contacted Field Piece to discuss a replacement I was told that since it was purchased through Revain and not one of their authorized retailers they would not honor the warranty. It doesn't matter where the device was purchased, you must honor the sensorset warranty. Don't buy anything with the Field Piece name on it. They will use any excuse not to honor their guarantee. I purchased this item which was claimed to be a new SM480V and received a used SM460 which looks like it has been used for years. Literally has chilled dye in the package. I hope it was just a mistake with the returned product but I am extremely dissatisfied as it will take 3 weeks to get a replacement if this one was dispatched 2 days later. doorstep the next working day. I was hesitant to buy because of the price but really sold after first use. I'm in the light commercial HVAC industry and used to lug around some pipe clamps, thermometers, etc. This tool replaced them all in no time.
