Fragile on granite in salt and pepper shaker sets

As advertised. The price has gone up a lot over the years, but this is a good salt and pepper shaker that evenly distributes the spices. This is our second substitution due to a guest error. Be careful when laying on granite as it is obvious that it breaks easily with rough handling.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Some small items

Looked great but on the one hand

Great product except the cork on the pepper pot broke and will probably break when I refill it. When I received the shakers this was one of the first things I saw. The limiter was hanging halfway, and that's because it was an irregular shape. Once again I expect a better product from Fiesta and have now been disappointed a couple of times.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Almost never

Big, heavy, big capacity!

I love this addition to my Turquoise Fiesta collection. They create the perfect explosion of color next to my gas stove. They're bigger and heavier than I expected, but that's not really a complaint. They include a large salt and pepper container so I have to refill them less often than my old silver set. The only downside I've found is that they don't water fast enough. I use them in cooking rather than seasoning a plate so would have preferred the salt and pepper to be poured faster/heavier…

The color is great but the holes are too small for cooking.

The color is perfect for my kitchen but the holes are too small for cooking. The first thing I did was put the rice in front of the salt as I know the humidity here at the lake really affects things like salt. But even if you shake it to spread the rice and leave it for a day or two to absorb the moisture, the salt won't come out. I use fine grain sea salt. The list is the same. I use a coarse grind, but it comes out fine in a regular tabletop shaker. I just leave it on the stove to "look nice"

Pros
  • Salt and Pepper
Cons
  • No instructions

Typical Fiesta quality but heavy

I like that they match my scarlet plates, water cans etc and that they are regular Fiesta quality BUT they are larger than I expected (even for the kitchen). for use only) and when you fill the salt shaker to the top it is quite heavy. This may not be a problem for most, but if you have arthritis or other limitations/pain in your fingers or wrists it can be a problem. I shook out half the salt. I hate the little round ones that look like they're straight out of the 1960's, so I'm going to keep…

Pros
  • Salt and Pepper Shakers
Cons
  • Somewhat wrinkled

Work very well and not too hard.

I love the color I chose for these shakers and the style and ease of use. They're a little heavier than most, but if you can hold a coffee mug, travel mug, or a full water bottle, I think you can handle these shakers. (Unless you have severe arthritis or another medical condition that causes hand/wrist pain.) The holes on both shakers shake just the right amount of salt or pepper - they don't pour too fast or too slow. They have enough salt and pepper so I don't have to refill them every time I
