I needed a shop apron to catch flying wood shavings. Also, I needed protection if I slipped with a knife. I know leather isn't cut resistant, but it offers much better protection than a canvas apron. The day after this apron was delivered I was harassed about a recall. I intended to provide feedback after using the apron, not before. So here it is. I've never seen leather tear. Soft and stretchy. The stitching and rivets are fine. But… Suitable from M to XXL. After adjusting the shoulder pads, the apron hangs nicely down to the middle of the calf! I was able to put stuff in the lower pockets but the pocket was too low for my hands to reach the ground. Placing pockets behind other pockets means hands only go through the front or back. The first thing you notice is the smell that others notice. Upon arrival he had a rather unpleasant smell of new skin which caused irritation. I was going to send it back but liked the design so I decided to let it air out. After a few days the smell was still pretty strong. I bought a box of baking soda and laid the apron on my workbench, sprinkled it with baking soda and rolled it up. The next day I vacuumed it up and added new baking soda. Excellent placement in pocket. The materials used are not that great. It's not as durable as I had hoped. The eyelet for the hip belt came loose on the 3rd day when using light-colored leather. The stitching is the only thing holding a side together. The strap ties and twists easily, the shoulder pads work but won't stay in place if you're moving and not standing upright.
