If you have Toyota/Lexus that use this then you need it. Do you really"need" it? no Changing your oil yourself and using this unique oil filter on your Toyota or Lexus will keep things really clean. This is a very simple product that prevents oil spills when changing the filter. In the closed position you simply hand screw it in where you would normally put a plastic plug and unscrew (unscrew) to open it and the oil will come out in a controlled manner. I recommend it because of the cost.

Let's face it, replacing Toyota cartridge oil filters is inconvenient compared to their old spin-on oil filters. With this tool you simply remove the oil filter housing drain plug and screw the tool to the closed position. Then turn the wheel to open the valve and drain the oil. Overall a nice little tool for emptying the filter housing. This makes it a little cleaner than the plastic drains that come with new filter elements. In general, the workmanship seems normal, there are no burrs or chips on the parts, although some threads have small dents that do not cause problems.
