I bought the 24 x 30 x 1 size, these air filters are smaller compared to the well known brands I have used such as Filtrete and Honeywell. This causes them to hit the air intake frame when the AC is turned on, which can be a problem, especially at night. I will buy quality branded filters again.

This filter claims to be 2.5 cm high but it isn't. I opened the box and put the filter in, but it doesn't fit as snugly as other brands and I can hear the filter 'smacking' at the top as the A/C kicks in and creates suction. It's very annoying in the middle of the night. I will go back and buy a previous brand that I know will fit.

I bought this filter because my local air conditioner manufacturer advised me to change the filter monthly during the hot summer months. The reason I bought this MERV filter is because I liked the idea of the pleats adding an extra layer of filtering over the regular Home Depot filter, which offers a thin honeycomb metal structure holding a layer of translucent filter material.
