ATTRACTS AND CAPTURES particles such as lint, pollen, dust, pet dander, smoke and smog. 1000 MPR has a rating of MERV 11. The higher the MPR, the more microparticles--such as pollen, pet dander, smoke, bacteria and viruses--your filter will capture from the air passing through it. FIND YOUR SIZE: 1000 MPR available in 4in. , 4in. slim fit and 5in. thick air filters. FOR OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE of your heating & cooling system or HVAC system, change your home air filter at least every 90 days for 1 in. filters, and at least every 12 months for 4 in. and 5 in. filters. A dirty filter will slow down air flow and make the system work harder to keep you warm or cool--wasting energy. Sign-up for a filter change reminder program that works for you!. FOR RESIDENTIAL use only. CREATE A CHANGE COUNTDOWN in the Filtrete Smart app. Simply use the app to scan the barcode on your filter’s packaging, then choose 30, 60 or 90 days for your replacement countdown. When the lifespan is up, you’ll get a notification to change your filter.

Fantastic tool for allergy sufferers

If you have allergies you won't find anything better than the excellent Filtrete filter. I can't imagine allergy season without them. and they are also excellent at removing fine dust particles all year round. You'll be amazed at how much they collect if you trade them regularly.

Pros
  • PULLS AND CATCHES particles such as lint, pollen, dust, pet dander, smoke and smog
Cons
  • Quality

Installing a Filter

My air conditioner has a mechanism, a filter, to make it easier to install and then remove the filter. Unfortunately, the device associated with the filter requires a smaller rim on the filter than is available with this filter. After finally, with some difficulty, removing the filter, I then trimmed the edge of the filter to allow the jig to connect to the filter. With this filter modification, everything should work as expected.

Pros
  • The higher the MPR, the more microparticles such as pollen, pet dander, smoke, bacteria and viruses the filter captures from the air passing through
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

My mistake - easy return

I bought these by mistake. I used them in my old house. My new house has a larger filter. I have not returned anything before and thought it would be a big problem. God it was so easy. Aside from the distance to take them to a UPS store as it's not close to us all I did was fill out a return form, a code was sent to my phone. As soon as I got to the UPS store, the clerk scanned my code DONE! very easy! and I'm not young so I was a little afraid of the whole process. I thought because I ordered…

Beware of warehouse deal for this item. See image.

Just someone wasn't paying attention. This was a pack of four filters from Amazon's stock range which I use often because you can often save money. This time one of the filters was apparently hacked to match the previous buyer's device (see picture) and then sent back. What really worries me is that someone should have checked this package before sending it to me. The other three were perfect with no issues. The product is great but the cut one is useless. I feel a little cheated because I…

Pros
  • FOR RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS only
Cons
  • There are doubts

Good compromise; fast delivery.

I chose the Filtrete MPR 1000 as the best compromise between good airflow and clean air. Old-fashioned fiberglass filters, for example, have a hard time protecting the system from bugs and hair. But a filter that is too thick will strain and even damage your air conditioner/stove fan. A good pleated paper filter like the MPR 1000 offers a reasonable balance of removing dirt from the air and maximizing airflow. They delivered four Filtrete MPR 1000 filters in two days in two thick boxes. This…

Pros
  • CREATE A COUNTERBACK in the Filtrete Smart App. Simply use the app to scan the barcode on your filter packaging, then choose 30, 60 or 90 days for a replacement countdown. At the end of its life you will be asked to replace the filter
Cons
  • Out of fashion
