It remembers my fingerprint very well. There are almost no errors when reading fingerprints. I have an expensive bulldog biometric fingerprint lock on a gun safe and it works better and is more secure. The battery stays charged for weeks with repeated use. This lock works as advertised. It's not heavy, but it's perfect for protecting drawers that contain semi-precious items, memorabilia or a journal. It would be better if the cable was longer so that the fingerprint scanner could be placed further away. This won't stop anyone from "breaking into" the drawer, but it will add an extra layer of security for peace of mind and restrict access to the drawer or cabinet.

This was the best idea I've ever had as a mom: hide chocolate chips and marshmallows in a drawer locked with a fingerprint! But my little assholes have found that if they pull out the bottom drawer, pull down on the handle and push down on the back of the drawer, they could pull it out and push into the food! Works (Day 1). As already mentioned, the instructions are the worst - both for installation and for programming. The video will help, but you need to figure out the installation location yourself. So wow the first thing I did when I got this was try to read the instructions. They are in English. That's the only positive thing I can say. These are perhaps the worst English instructions I've ever seen from an Asian manufacturer. Almost every sentence is not true, which makes it very difficult to understand.
