Nice addition to your workout

Helps me focus on my strokes. I can feel where I'm slipping and can also work on strength training. A good addition to training.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Available in white only

Exercises my muscles

I made this purchase to slow myself down while free diving through the deepest parts of the Rio Grande in search of the Rio Grande's elusive alligators.

What nonsense - in a good way

Recommended by a friend of Master. It's nice to change the training complex. Well packed for business trips. Combine it with fins, paddles and snorkel to turn 100 meters into 250 meters in a real pool or at least a decent hotel pool workout.

Pros
  • Annual trial
Cons
  • Not sure

A parachute that will give your arms a real workout

Want the toughest workout of your life in the pool? It's an article! The parachute isn't that big, but since water doesn't penetrate the material, it feels like you're floating in oil rather than water. I'd say it adds 30 seconds or more for every 100 yards and after 400 straight yards you're wiped out.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Nothing here

Tears easily

Love this parachute, don't get me wrong. The resistance it creates is great and it is very difficult to swim with it (especially leg exercises). However, after getting tangled in the pool lanes a few times, one of the "layers" of parachute fabric began to tear (the one facing your ass, not the outer dark blue). It only took a few days for the entire layer to be completely torn apart. The resistance is now significantly lower and only a month old. Be very careful not to get tangled up on…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

Great training aid

I am very fortunate to use them personally and use them for my HS swim team. We never made circles with them. Used them for strength and speed training, doing high-intensity 25 and 50 pounds. We've used 12" for really strong swimmers and 8" for girls and butterfly work (I've used 12" for butterfly but it's difficult for me to maintain shot form with a big swimmer - meaning there's a bad one Shoulder burns (but seems like you can be easy to overload a joint/muscle/tendon if you're not well…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Safety
