MADE IN THE USA: Fiberglass Wicks Measures 12 inches x 3/8 inches. The perfect length and width to turn your wine bottle into an oil lamp or tiki torch. EXPECTED FIT: Aluminum, Brass-Finished Wick Holder Fits Standard-Size Wine Bottles. use a high-quality Tiki Torch Fuel or Paraffin Fuel like Firefly Brand. It will NOT work with cooking oil. FOR WINE BOTTLES: Just What You Need to Turn Empty Wine Bottles into Oil Lamps, Oil Candles and Tiki Torches!. IMPORTANT: We suggest filling your wine bottle 2/3 with fuel. It's been our experience that below half full, the flame starts to diminish. Be sure to view the USER GUIDE PDF below. RECOMMENDED WINE BOTTLE OIL: We Suggest Using Firefly Paraffin Lamp Oil for a clean, smokeless, odorless burn. Be sure to keep the wick just slightly above the wick holder to conserve lamp oil and achieve a smokeless burn. Excellent goods. This is for wine bottle

Great product. It's meant for a wine bottle, but I used it in a beautiful glass bottle that once held Italian balsamic vinegar. I filled the bottle 2/3 with lamp oil and inserted the wick with holder. Fits perfectly.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • For old

Solid Wick Holder for Home Decor Products

I bought a wick for a homemade tiki torch and it worked well. The wick just sits in the neck of the bottle and feels secure. The metal wick is strong and part of the wick will burn well if you place it at the lowest point of the wick holder. Too much wick and the flame burns huge.

Great wick: oil lamps and accessories

This works fine, but you need real lamp oil. I was hoping this would work with vegetable oil, but it doesn't. You need a wick just above the oil in vegetable oil. However, it fits snugly in a bottle of wine I bought at the store for just a dollar. Works great with outdoor torch liquid.

Pros
  • Lots of good vibes
Cons
  • Purity

Perfect fit for a wine bottle

Don't look for the perfect wine bottle lantern wick insert. Serious! From the length and width of the wick to the plug, everything fits perfectly. I tried another one from Hobby Lobby that had a ceramic plate with a glass wick insert, it broke and the wick was weak. This is exactly what you need for the best wine bottle lantern.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • It's ok

Works really well with wine bottle tiki torches

So these wicks are actually very different than homemade tiki torches. I made four torches out of several empty vodka bottles, and the first bundle of fiberglass wicks I used only maintained a good flame when the bottles were almost full of fuel. Once the fuel level dropped about an inch below the rim of the bottle, the soak began to falter and the flame died out. I replaced them all with these Firefly wicks after reading some reviews and I'm happy to report that they make a significantโ€ฆ

The flame burns beautifully!

I bought this and 3 packs of cheaper brass wicks and wick holders. At first glance I didn't really like the Firefly wick holders because they didn't have any material to hold them in the bottle. If you knock your bottle over, the wick holder will basically pop out and you're going to be in trouble. But I used this product and this other brand in the beginning and they seemed comparable. After months of not using (winter, moving, Covid) which meant all the wicks had to be soaked in tons of lampโ€ฆ
