Impressive camera and photo gadget

Useful device, excellent tool for sharing and discussing the characteristics of patient's skin lesions. It doesn't seem to show as much detail as my wireless dermatoscope, for example peripheral points are hard to see and pigmented structures seem more even. There is a measurement tool that is very useful when recording lesion measurements.

Pros
  • Lighting: 8 ultra-bright LEDs, fully dimmable. Battery: Built-in 700mAh with over 3 hours of continuous use. Built-in snapshot button. Robust industrial design.
Cons
  • Doubtful

No better than ยฃ60 Veho VMS-004D

Only suitable for a quick scan for sizing, but not at all suitable for diagnostic purposes (in my opinion as a general practitioner with some experience in dermoscopy and who has a Heine Delta 20 plus dermatoscope). Shame as it showed great promise from a user perspective, but I'd be amazed if it were medically appropriate. Avoid, sorry.! Had high hopes. Indeed a toy. No better than the ยฃ60 Veho VMS-004D.

Pros
  • Magnification: 15x - 50x (standard optical), 15x - 150x (digital). Lens Assembly: Two lenses, 3-layer glass, 650nm cutoff, built-in polarizer with 12 settings in 30 degree increments.
Cons
  • Crumpled

Great product for electronic medical records!

I recently ordered a DE350 model (after using the previous wired DE300 model for several months) and this product is second to none for its wireless capability. I synced this directly to my EMR system at work rather than using the included software, so I cannot comment on the included software. I would like to point out that the resolution isn't as good as the DE300, but other than that the product is a huge plus for EMR dermatology surgeries and extremely handy for capturing images for patient

Pros
  • Sensor resolution: 0.35 million pixels. Still image resolution: 720 x 480 pixels (format: BMP). Video resolution: 720 x 480 pixels (formats: YUY2, frame rate: 30 fps).
