Very good installation: spares

This is a great product and was easy to install. Anyone could do it. It is very practical that each pocket can be ventilated separately.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Nice but bulky instrument box

Overall good unit but the instrument box is quite bulky and installation is quite a hassle as three air ducts have to be routed into the truck cab.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Nothing here

It does what it says on the tin

it's pretty slow, the compressor is louder than I thought but it saves you the trouble of running an air hose to adjust the pressure so that's nice

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • A few little things

FIRESTONE COMPRESSOR

PERFECT! INSTALLATION WAS RELATIVELY EASY AND WORKS BEAUTIFULLY! MUCH MORE CONVENIENT THAN INFLATED AIRBAGS AT THE STATION, ALSO YOU CAN MODIFY THE PRESSURE OF THE AIRBAGS ON THE MOVE. GOOD PRODUCT.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Hard to say

Good concept but difficult to implement

I returned this product as there was no suitable space in my truck for the sensors/switches. The need to run multiple cables and air hoses through the firewall was also problematic as there is no easy access to the firewall on either side.

Cons

A leak! Incorrect factory seal for controller gauges

Note that the threads on the gauges are not properly sealed and are prone to leaks. Spent several days checking for leaks with brand new hoses and bags. Turns out the controller was leaking from the factory. I applied 545 Loctite to fix the problem but when it doesn't they send me a replacement.

Pros
  • Annual trial period
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something

Air Compressor - Parts

I like the look of the white two needle front gauge. I chose Firestone over another brand because the compressor can be mounted outside the cab. I didn't realize it didn't fit under the hood. I found what looks like a safe place in the frame spar behind the driver's side transfer case. 01 Superduty CrewCab long bed. I'm giving 4 stars and not just because the compressor doesn't have a built in 5psi auto switch like the other brand. As long as there are no leaks, this shouldn't be a problem…

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Some Flaws

Excellent parts system

This product works great. I can adjust the air in my Sport-Rite bags with the push of a button. The supercharger isn't too big, so you'll likely find space in the engine bay. There were enough supplies for a full install (I used the hose that came with the Sport-Rite bags). What I like best is that I can keep the pressure on the bags to a minimum when unloaded to maintain the ride quality, but on the weekend when I'm using the off-road bike rack I can increase the pressure to keep the grounded…

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Great addition if you already have pockets installed!

The product arrived damaged (one of the fixings on the pump was badly bent) but after some workshops and a couple of vises it straightened up slightly. If you're installing it on a full-size truck, you'll need an extra 1/4" compressor line (I found mine at NAPA). Get an extra 30 feet (trust me on this one). I attached my pump directly to the frame. toward the center of the truck in the driest spot I could find (I didn't want the pump in the cab because of its noise during operation). In the cab

Pros
  • a beautiful thing
