Very good product, I recommend it to everyone.

I purchased this product after a recent (5) tornado storm in our area west of Huntsville, Alabama. I bought this item through Revain, I had it at my house in 4-5 days. I opened it up, read the instructions and went online as instructed to find my state and county and wrote down that number. Then I followed the instructions, put in the batteries, connected it to the wall and made all the necessary settings. Works perfectly! Last storm we had a tornado warning, a flash flood warning, a severe…

Initial alarm SUCH weather radio

I had an old SUCH radio but you couldn't use it because you couldn't keep it from going off every time there was a severe thunderstorm or flash flood warning which meant that it worked too many times in summer and wake us up for no reason. I ended up throwing it away and based on other reviews I ordered this one. Important points. It was pretty easy to program: find the codes for the precinct or precincts you are interested in and program the location, then go through the list of events. You…

Gives peace of mind, easy to use.

A few weeks ago I ordered a NOAA weather radio with SAME. A local TV meteorologist recommended buying a NOAA radio. The first alarm went off a few minutes ago. The radio tuning went quickly. I looked up the county codes and frequencies on the NOAA website before the radio arrived. Really easy and only took a few minutes. With this particular radio, I was able to turn off alerts for things I didn't want to bother, like: B. Flash floods. (Storm surge warnings are pretty common in my area this…

Good product! the best shortwave radio

I've had First Alert Public Alert Radio with SAME for about two months now and it never ceases to amaze me - in a good way! For the last 8 years I've used an old portable public address radio and it's a HUGE improvement. Pros: - SAME technology that works. It's priceless not to be awakened by a severe thunderstorm across the state.- When an alarm activates the radio, it will beep, an alarm will play and the radio will return to standby until the clock/alert is updated. However, depending on the

mine works as it should **UPDATE FOR 2011** **UPDATE FOR 2017**

I've been looking for something like this for a long time and have read many, many reviews of both weather radios with/alert and desktop only -Device Alerts. Finally committed to it. I had no problems with it, it works as it should. I change batteries regularly. It's noisy. Our house is only 1,000 square feet so we can hear it in every room, even with the doors closed. Yes, I programmed my own SAME codes for my county and counties adjacent to mine. It wasn't that hard. I also set up which…
