I couldn't control it.

High quality drill but too aggressive for my application. I got into hard to reach places and my arms were stretched out over my head so I couldn't get the bit straight. He immediately took off at an undesirable angle and ate a lot of firewood in a second or two. This is a great product but not for the hobbyist like me.

Pros
  • Electric drill parts and accessories
Cons
  • Something else

It must be fake.

Looks like the other reviewers got the 'right deal' fish. The drill bit I received barely made 3 holes in 1 1/2" thick plywood. It immediately seemed difficult. I even attempted to drill a hole in 3/4" MDF today to see if it gets better I barely made it to the end it was so boring. Not impressed. Even my cheaper Forstner bits cut better than these.

Pros
  • Drill
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

If he falls, don't catch him!

First of all you should all buy this bit as it is made in Austria NOT China. This is a quality hit! It gets razor sharp (and stays that way for a long time), which explains the title. If he rolls off the bench, DO NOT try to catch him. I know, I know, when a $20+ club hits the floor your first instinct is to catch it. Believe me, no, this "fish" is more like a shark and will take a piece away from you! I use it on my lathe, hand drill and drill press. I usually use it on hardwoods like…
