Does cause but does not reduce hand fatigue.

This Ergo Control circular knife claims to eliminate hand fatigue with its "soft grip" - apparently a copyrighted term. It actually causes hand fatigue and more if you have hand arthritis. You must use constant, sufficient force while holding the ergonomic handle to raise the guard. I tried removing the blade guard as I can't hold this cutter as it was designed. I didn't take it out, but it folds back far enough that I don't have to keep squeezing the handle. Fiskars usually has well thought…

Fiskars Ergo Deluxe Rotary Knife

This is a really handy tool. Everything about it is good except the retractable lid doesn't retract like it should. This is a complaint I read about in other reviews even before I bought it. However, do not try to press the lid with your finger as the blade is very sharp. I came up with a very easy way to close the protective case without touching it or using any tools. Nice cutting knife

I bought this Friskars slicer because I previously bought a Friskars 'set' (scissors, rotary tool, scissors and ruler) for Christmas. I've used this circular knife for several fleece projects and the blade has dulled. I bought replacement blades and when it came time to change blades I couldn't unscrew the nut holding the blade on the cheaper cutter from the set, even my husband couldn't unscrew it with pliers. The design of this rotary cutter has improved a lot since its launch!

I needed a new rotary cutter because mine was very old and the blade wasn't holding tight. I am middle aged and not as strong as I used to be due to health issues. When I saw this (new) design, I was really interested. I was and still am a bit intimidated by the razor sharp disc cutter blades when the blade needs to be replaced.
