You get what you pay for - the handle broke off!

I've had this shovel for less than two months, I've used it for light gardening and mostly to clear the neighbor's kitty litter from the yard. Today I went to dig weeds in my plowed garden and the handle came off completely! While I'd like to think I have some sort of Superman™, the real answer is most likely a poorly made, cheap shovel.

Nice hand scoop! suitable for garden and lawn care

Call it what you will, hand shovel, dustpan, plant digger. Thing is, the other half loves it. She swapped out your super cheap Daiso blade for this well built Fiskars blade. It digs, it moves, it does everything you would expect a hand shovel to do in a regular garden. I'll upgrade her to a forged trowel if she manages to break it in a few years. But so far Fiskars products have not disappointed.

Pros
  • Top marks for durability and durability from testers

Nice little spatula: shovels, shovels and trowels

A foot long, half handle and half blade, three inches wide. One-piece cast aluminum alloy with a thick plastic handle on a metal shaft. Lies comfortably in the hand and is not too heavy. The tip was pretty dull, but two minutes with a disc sander did the trick. My only concern is how well the metal will hold up against rocks and the like. Ideal for growing in pots. Maybe to get him into serious digging, but that's what dynamite is for.

Another great Fiskars tool!

We have used Fiskars shears for many years along with various garden tools. This hand trowel combines strength, a comfortable grip, and a wide blade that prevents spilling dirt while digging. This is one of those tools that is a great investment because you don't have to keep replacing it and you'll enjoy it every time you use it. It makes gardening and housework fun and a lot easier to do.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Expensive

Poor quality trowels

The trowel fell off the handle after a week! Considering I'm an elderly woman with arthritis, I think a handheld garden tool should last me a lifetime. I've always had success with "Fisker" products in the past, so I'm curious that the "Fisker" hand shears purchased at the same time also fell apart shortly after use. "Fisker" is using a different manufacturer? I am extremely disappointed!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • A small change

Contains lead in garden and lawn maintenance

Came with a label stating it contains lead and other unnamed substances known to cause cancer and affect reproductive health. It looks like this information (especially the lead) should be disclosed in the listing on Revain. The label says "wash hands after use," but it's unknown if this is enough to prevent exposure. What if I used it to grow fruit/veg - I don't want to inadvertently add lead to the soil. Toxins need to be disclosed so I know about them before I buy and make a decision.
