I use a TV antenna. I have neither internet nor smartphone. I hoped I could watch, record and pause shows. The flash drive is used for recording but I can't get it to play. The brochure is so small that I have to use a magnifying glass to read it. The letters in the pictures are small, black prints on dark gray pictures, and they are unreadable, at least for me. The picture on the TV is the same as I had with just the TV. I would not recommend this product for the purposes I need. Your reasons…

This product failed in just 2 months! The remote was very difficult to use - it had to be positioned very close and just right for the job, and even then it was often slow to respond to the point that I hated it as the default for actual input. To "loop through" my antenna's signal, the instructions say to go to the SETUP menu and select "loop through", but this option/menu is not visible/available and doesn't work.

I've been using this product for about a year. It has some very big issues, but if you can work around them, you'll be fine. There is nothing magical about this product, everything is a digital TV tuner. I bought it to use with a cheap projector to watch OTA (Over The Air) broadcasts outside on my patio. If you have an old Kinescope TV that stopped working when OTA went digital, you can use that on that too. I had one and it gave the best picture I have ever seen. It even worked on an old 9"…
