It was a very good purchase. I didn't give 5 stars for the battery use as I only used it one evening. Our neighborhood lights up for the holidays and I used white bag candles. Each candle worked, gave off a nice warm light and I didn't have to worry about the bag catching fire when the wind blew it away when using a lit candle. I will use them every year and recommend them to new buyers.

They go perfectly with my little Christmas houses and lanterns. I just left them on and they lasted about three weeks. Although some of them only lasted a few hours. Doesn't look very realistic, but wasn't a problem for my use. Update: Bought another box a year later and used half of the box. They were all very weak and only lasted a few hours, two hours at most. Very disappointed. An aged batch must be preserved. That's why I deducted a few stars.

I just loved them when I first got them. They are very bright and really look like a lit tea light. I was about to buy another box for the rest of the house when I realized they were all almost dead after 4 days of 5-6 hour use. This is between 20-30 hours of operation. It has been a year since I bought these candles. They almost all worked right away, but almost all have stopped working now. I've used them 4 times, about 2-3 hours per use. 50% stopped working within 6 months and over 80% stopped working within 12 months. The point isn't just that the battery has stopped working either - the mechanism itself may be faulty. I have a few that work when you hold the "on" switch almost in place, but stop working when you flip them all the way to the "on" position.
