The nut did not fit the gasket.

I used these before and had no problems with landing. This time the seals are in the nut. They were scratched so I used a cooling sealer instead.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I don't remember

worked like clockwork

I've always had trouble getting good highlights. Installed a mini split and the flares were leaking. Installed and sealed immediately, vacuum dropped to 150 microns and held well. Great product, highly recommend. Many Thanks

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • No performance

Not worth the effort

Very good idea with poor design. The outside edge holding it to the seat also makes it impossible to thread the nut onto the fitting. Good idea, but just use clean oil or nylog instead and keep an eye on the nut's torque value. Don't waste money on them.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Repair

Flare Leak Fix

I have used these flare gaskets on 4 of my mini splits with no leaks. Gaskets for 1/4" line are a bit tricky to install, the gasket won't stay in place on a male stud. For 3/8" line and up no problem. My fat fingers might have something to do with it.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • expensive

DO NOT READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS, JUST GET THESE!

I installed a mini split air conditioner and it was very simple: I cut a long set of copper tubing and flared the end of the copper tubing with a flare/swage kit. When the AC guys came to vacuum the lines and check for leaks, they told me I had a small leak. I received and installed this kit and no more leaks immediately! It was child's play. It's 73 degrees in my solarium and 98 degrees outside. This kit saved me money and a headache!

Pros
  • Nicely packaged
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Great for extra peace of mind, (unbiased review)

Worked great after a month. I used these spacers on a LG Red 3 zone mini split. I also added NyLog to the pads for extra protection, my HVAC tech got it working, he dropped it to 100 microns and it held up great. I'm not a ventilation specialist, I'm an electrician by trade. If you do everything you can to spec it, especially the torque settings, and have the tubes lined up exactly on the male side, you'll get it working every time. I have a total of 12 joints that I have installed them on. no…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Pretty much everything ok

Works as advertised

Using a DIY mini split setup, I couldn't seal two joints no matter how hard I tried. Not even Nilog could compare what was wrong with those joints. I ordered a set of these, stuck them into the bad connections and magically the connections closed tight. For what they are, they are absurdly expensive. For what they do, they are worth every penny. Somehow I expected that they have a rubber seal. No rubber, all thin metal. But they still work. If you've flared your line 3 times and still can't get

Extra Safety: Air Conditioning Tools & Equipment

I had a leak on one of the flares on my dual zone mini split. I used the flare nuts that came with the line kits instead of the heavy duty ones that came with the unit because I didn't want to reflare them. Well, it ended up leaking so badly that it didn't heat up or cool down. The service technician came and tightened the bell around the oil. Well it went like this for a while but 9 months later same problem. I decided to fix it myself, bleeding the system and flare the fittings with factory…
