Great fuel filter on filters

I use it on my Air Dog 100 and it works great. It is cheaper than the Air Dog filter and has the same filtration as the Air Dog.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • No instructions

Do not use on Airdog fuel systems

Do not use if you have an Airdog fuel system, the gasket is too thin and will not seal. The thread ends before it seals, fuel goes everywhere.

Pros
  • High support and durability ratings from testers
Cons
  • General

Fits like a glove on Airdog 165

I bought this to replace the stock fuel filter on my Airdog 165. Fits on rails and base. I need to go back and update the review after accumulating 10,000 miles on the filter.

Pros
  • Fits me great
Cons
  • I won't tell

good value - seems to work well

Bought to replace the OEM filter on the Dodge Diesel "Air-Dog" lift pump. Good price and very fast delivery. No complaints so far and no reason to think it won't perform as well or better than the Air Dog filter.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Concise Owner's Manual

The filter just doesn't work for my application. The part number was correct, but the threads just weren't done right. I also spent some time blowing the white "color" flakes off the inside and off the filter mounting surface. I've ordered the same filter from this carrier before, so I'm assuming it's a manufacturing defect.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Make sure that the filter is seated and tight!

This Fleetguard Fuel Filter IS a direct replacement for the aftermarket AirDog165. Except for one significant difference, the Fleetguard pad is .040 thinner than the AirDog pad. This caused my new Fleetguard filter to rotate and fall off before the gasket plus 3/4 turn could seal tight. It hit the ground just as the pad made contact. Maybe my AirDog threaded nipple isn't screwed in deep enough. FYI, the pads were: AirDog .256, Fleetguard .212 thick.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • So So
