🔧 Enhance Cooling Performance with Flex-a-lite 14556 2" Fan Spacer Kit Review

The bolts in this kit do not match Ford although the box label clearly states Ford, GM and American Motors. I have a '92 Ranger and I'm going to the hardware store in the morning to get some screws. If it is to be advertised as suitable for different brands, it must include screws for all or none and state that there are no fasteners.

I am sure this part will work well for the purpose it was designed for, however it should only be advertised with the parts it was designed for . I purchased this spacer on recommendation from the 'Frequently bought together' section and having previously done this fan upgrade on another car I knew an adapter/spacer would be required. Ultimately this is my fault though i would hate it if others did it to him.

I would prefer the screw holes to line up directly. There is an inch of clearance between the fan and heatsink, to find the pulley holes it's not easy - and the slotted bolt holes add to the frustration much patience with this setup and use of a ratchet wrench - but first get the part Since my bolt heads don't match the bearing you'll need the flex- Match a-lite gasket and or lose 5 stars on Flex-a-lite warranty if bolt holes match.

Nice part but I had to open the hole at the back because it didn't fit the water pump shaft. It's okay, I have tap beats. Simply clamp in a vise and drill to the next size. It looks like raw aluminum, so you'll need to machine or clean it before installing it. Almost all aluminum parts are supplied in this form. It's also a real flex and lightweight part; They always have good stuff! I have a 1981 car. Short water pump and 3/4 shaft. Lift the cargo pieces of the port.
