Perfect for my needs

I'm a beginner and had to learn something. This set is perfect. They are really sharp and work great.

Pros
  • There's something in there
Cons
  • There are nuances

Quality tools are best at Woodcrafts

Top Quality and Made in the USA! The cutting edges are sharp and the handle fits perfectly in the palm of my hand. I was disappointed that Rockler didn't have any tutorial videos on their website. I had to go to YouTube for technique and sharpening tips.

Great tools and SHARP

I wouldn't call anything sharp unless it's spine sharp and these tools are as sharp as can be. With that in mind, I carved a wooden spirit out of a piece of fresh poplar in no time! My first carving and these tools made it so easy.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Nothing here

Fine details good for crafting

Very happy with purchase, fast shipping, package well packaged, great hand carving kit with a small gift of patches for emergency finger and thumb cuts. Great little wooden box for them to sit in. Well done Flexcut team. Carving tools are small, so small parts should be light, tools sharp and ready to use.

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Quality

Super sharp and ready to go

I love that this set comes with a band aid as I managed to cut myself without realizing it (I had to wear gloves). The tools are very sharp and ready to use, unlike the cheaper ones you can buy from Michael. The handle was smaller than I thought it would be but fit my hand size. I highly recommend it.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Good all rounder

Starter kit - a must have! But that doesn't mean it's only for beginners. This was the first tool set I bought after buying my first knife. It's a good all-around strain, especially for those trying to carve and not sure if they're going to stick with it. You can buy more expensive tools, but unless you go a lot more expensive you won't find a better set. I love them and use them every time I cut. Think of it as a start - it's by no means everything you need, but it's enough to get you started,

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I will add later

Poorly sharpened edge!

I would call them poor quality straight out of the box. The edges are very poorly polished. With a chisel, the blade is the working part! I had to spend quite a bit of time refactoring and distributing these tools before I could use them. While there are bits more expensive than these, they are by no means cheap. There is simply no excuse for the extremely careless blade of these tools. What's the use of having a factory make them if they can't do the most important thing? It must be precision…

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Something different
