I was looking for this type of tool and found it at a great price! It's well made and strong and is very useful for removing hard-to-reach clamps! I highly recommend this tool if you need to remove or replace those spring clips!

Oh my god. I wish I had known that earlier. This simplifies the removal and installation of the clamps considerably. I did two water pumps at GMC. Each time the clamp slipped and pinned part of my arm. Bought to replace the radiator on a Jeep. So easy and without injuries.

I have not used this tool. I looked at it and noticed very fine teeth and didn't see that it held the pressure of the hard spring clips. It might work, but paying the price for a more durable option with an adjustable function was worth the difference.

The tool saved me time and made things worse. Questionable long-term quality, but with a little skill I can hold it. It can snag on the case if you squeeze the clamps in the blind spot, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy to work around. I would recommend it.

The only problem with these pliers is that they WERE DEVELOPED TOO LATE! Oh, how many years I've struggled with brackets, trying to get to them and not break everything around them! These pliers are the absolute bomb when it comes to getting into tight spaces and doing things that seem impossible with your fingers. Take her and stop whining!

there are good reviews some bad so maybe i got a bad one, mine didn't quite close especially when i tried on smaller clips , so I have to keep force on the pliers while removing the clamp with my other hand, after that first try I decide to return it and just buy a more expensive one and see if it's the same. Maybe they just have poor quality control, some good, some bad.

As others have reported, under tension the jaws just don't close enough to completely release the band clamp. The attached drawing shows the gap that remains when the jaws are in tension in the closed position. When there is no tension, there is no gap between the jaws. Either I received a faulty tool, or unfortunately this design has flaws.

I used this tool to remove hose clamps when replacing the water pump. There is no adjustment provided and the clamp is not fully released. The locking mechanism is too rough and needs to be made thinner as I couldn't lock it. Block the last ledge before the handles make full contact. After I finished the job I took the splice connector, bent it at the seam and routed it around the cable to shorten the cable so it opens up completely. hose clamp. attach photo.
