Review on πŸ”§ Premium 24" Long Reach Flexible Hose Clamp Pliers for Fuel, Oil, and Water - Locking Tool for Easy and Efficient Handling by Jason Porter

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It works, but hardly.

I used this tool to remove hose clamps when replacing the water pump. There is no adjustment provided and the clamp is not fully released. The locking mechanism is too rough and needs to be made thinner as I couldn't lock it. Block the last ledge before the handles make full contact. After I finished the job I took the splice connector, bent it at the seam and routed it around the cable to shorten the cable so it opens up completely. hose clamp. attach photo. It was very difficult to work with, the handles should be longer, although the mechanism is quite thick metal. So if the cable breaks I will replace it and keep using it. On several uses, the outer casing of the cable collapsed. photo attached. When assembling my water pump I used 422 channel locks to hold the clamps in place. This tool should be fine for small engine or fuel line repairs where you are using very small hose clamps as it was difficult to use on the 2" upper and lower water pump hoses.

Pros
  • Allows the technician to access flat hose clamps in hard-to-reach places. Makes the removal and installation of the clamp much easier.
Cons
  • Long delivery
