They are great for making quilted Christmas decorations, they are not as difficult to pin down as other products.

A great set. About the same price in store so it just saved me a trip. I used them for crafts for kids. From them we make planets and people and snowmen. They hold up well and we use paint and markers to color them in and they work great.

These are good strong styrofoam balls. Sent quickly. They were out of the box when I received them and floating around the box. If something heavier had been packed with them, they could have been badly crumpled. But they were ok, with a little indentation. They sent quickly

I ordered these balls (3 Floracraft styrofoam balls) under the impression that this is an ordinary foam, not smooth but porous. I also ordered styrofoam eggs from FloraCraft and they arrived correct (porous). How do I tell the difference? Now I'm stuck with 3 packs of these fake balls and I don't need them! I am so disappointed

I have used dozens of these Christmas tree decorations over the years. It's easy to insert the pins, but strong enough to hold the pins in place. (I've always applied glue to the exposed portion of the right pin after "loading" it with sequins/beads/whatever before sticking it in.) There seem to be two types of styrofoam. One type is really hard and has air cells, and the other type is softer, semi-molded, with large pieces of foam packed tightly. These balls belong to the second type. I bought these to make Christmas decorations out of folded fabric and as the needles can change position a bit once inserted I would not recommend them for this type of craft. They do the job, but I would have preferred a denser foam. For my papermaking/paperbinding project, the holes in the foam were too big. I attached the paper flowers to the styrofoam with small mother-of-pearl pins and they kept falling out. I had to resort to gluing them all which made the project labor intensive and all the more time consuming.
