Flowmaster 15398 Polished Stainless Exhaust Review

I dented the first one and had to send it back. The second was sent immediately and the workmanship is good. I hope it holds up over time.

Yellowed almost immediately. If you can ensure that the Flowmaster slides the full length of the Flowmaster nozzle along the exhaust pipe, yellowing can be avoided. On my car, the exhaust pipe is only halfway to the end of the Flowmaster and this is where the yellowing from the exhaust heat starts.

Well polished finish and easy installation. Use a hand tool to tighten the clamp. Do not use power tools or impact tools/wrenches as abrasion may occur on the stainless steel screw. I love the look and as a bonus the double wall construction cools the exhaust just like Duramax diesel truck exhausts. Sounds and looks great and complements my Flowmaster Super 40 muffler and 3" stainless steel exhaust.

Sturdy stainless steel construction, nice finish. The double wall is open at the end of the yoke, which keeps the outer wall cooler, which is what I wanted. I wish the clamp was heavier, but in my RV setup (the heat shield is bolted to the existing pipe and this pipe) it needs to hold up. Welding is an option. It was difficult to fit this pipe over the existing 3" ID exhaust pipe. I had to cut an inch through the existing pipe to get started, driving through with a hammer and block of wood…
