Put it in a Honda Accord

I had a 40 in another Accord but it was too loud for long rides. This time I wanted to take advantage of the Flowmaster, but a little quieter. Poked around in shoes a bit but bought the 70 series. Sounds and drives good. Much quieter but you can tell you have a good muffler when you accelerate. Also helps with mileage.

Pros
  • . High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Mostly fine but...

Flowmaster 70 muffler - good choice

Beautiful muffler, replacement only. This isn't your typical Flowmaster drone, as the body size is huge - around 22 inches. I've had it on a Ford F150, Toyota 4Runner, Chevy Avalanche and Dodge Dakota - I was about to venture into uncharted waters and try the 2nd Gen Honda Ridgeline. Don't buy this muffler if you want it loud. It's just a higher than standard sound and no boom.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Can't remember

Flowmaster 70 Series on Ford Econoline 4.6L V8

Installed this muffler for better flow on a 2010 Ford e150 Econoline Van with 4.6L V8. It has a nice deep, low rumble at idle and a smooth tone when accelerating. There's a slight rumble in the cabin but it's not annoying when driving and I think it applies to any aftermarket exhaust system. I've been using floaters for many years. I also have 50HD on my other truck.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Expensive

Fits my '92 Chevy C1500 350

Very very smooth sound but still a little more than the HUGE AND PERFECTLY QUIET stock muffler it replaced. I bought this on Amazon "Second Hand" for almost half the price and it was just perfect, I would have never known it wasn't new. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it was only in the truck for an hour. If it doesn't last I'll update but for now it's a quality product in every way. And yes, NOW I have a Flowmaster.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Almost never

But if you want and feel a nice low rumble under acceleration.

This is a single input, single output on a 2003 Toyota Tundra V8. This gives me EXACTLY what I wanted. A little more rumble without having to put up with an intrusive hum. I understand it. If you're looking for a loud rumble when you turn the car on, this isn't it. But if you want a nice quiet rumble and a feeling of increased power under acceleration, then this is exactly what you need. I love it. Made for big cars, it's really great. I support it!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Negative present

Starsky and Hutch fit for spares

Love this muffler! Installation was easy. The fit was perfect. He's quiet compared to most. It's installed in a 1997 F150 with a 4.6 liter engine and sounds like an old muscle car. Maybe Mach 1 or Torino. I was in high school in the 1980s. A lot of cars had that hissing, popping rumble. It might sound a bit like a tin can, but the wide-open break is nice without triggering car alarms. I got a good price used. As far as I could tell it was just sent back. It looked brand new. money well spent.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • old
