🔊 Flowmaster 942041 40 Delta Flow Muffler - Aggressive Sound, Black - Offset IN/Center OUT - 2.00 Inches Review

The offset matched the factory exhaust on the 2007 Ranger perfectly, but the muffler was about 10 inches shorter than stock. No noticeable sound improvement with my 4.0 Sohc.

Always a good muffler I've had one on 3 different cars and it never fails on quality. Very smooth tone if you have a stock cat exhaust, removing the cat will make the tone louder.

Makes a nice engine growl but not too loud. I was worried it would make a little noise when accelerating with only 3.0 V6 but it sounds good and my son is happy. Everything is fine with the installation, just welded.

Flowmaster makes a great muffler. The 40 Series Delta Flow is my favorite. I have 2 of these on 2 different trucks, a 1994 Toyota pickup and my 1985 Ford Ranger. They both sound great, Toyota 4 cylinder and Ranger V6. I would highly recommend these mufflers to anyone who wants a good sound that is louder than a standard muffler.

Was in doubt between Super 44 or Delta Flow 40. Didn't want excessive hum. This muffler is very good, I just replaced the rear mufflers, otherwise the exhaust is stock. There is a hum while driving, but nothing annoying. And the sound outside is very deep and good up to about 4000 rpm. After that I find the noise quiet (may need a bigger motor for full noise in WOT) but the overhaul is fine with me and I don't regret getting it

Came as described. I put it on a Ford Ranger FX4 05 with a 4.0 engine. Took it to my local muffler shop and they converted it to a full 2 1/2" return system. Sounds good. Not very loud but has a nice deep tone with no freeway hum. My tires make more noise than a muffler at freeway speeds, if that gives you any idea I paid $100 for the muffler then $200 for the $300 piping and installation and got a full cat so I feel like it was a win.

I've been using these on my 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix GT for over a year and a half and they sound really good. I have dual rear exhausts and the stock mufflers lasted about 13 years. Replaced the entire system from the exhaust manifolds through to the catalytic converter, welded everything together including those mufflers and tailpipes. I used 600 degree black paint and coated everything after the Y pipe and thrice coated the mufflers. While they still sound great they are covered in surface…
