This is the second unit I've installed in less than two weeks and it sucks. The float is the problem. It gets stuck and it happens any time of the day or night! Ironically, the damper was used in another brand new toilet. We just disassembled and remodeled our master bath. The damper is adjusted by turning the ball under the damper. I could adjust this damper. but the other one on the newly installed toilet was designed not to be adjustable. There is a retaining ring on the inside that is glued to the ball.
