Nothing easier than that.

These filters are great. They really don't need to be replaced and cleaned. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is the price.

Pros
  • Done

  • Available in white only

reusable! for filter accessories

. Change the chemicals in the filter once every 4 months depending on if you did anything else in addition to what was in it. easy to install and charge. It's worth it! When this one runs out, I'll get another one.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Empty and fill nothing here

Great product - for G series filters

I like this product as it works with my filter - I'm too lazy to open it up and refill it manually - this is an option - the only downside is the price. I am waiting to buy them in bulk when they are on sale. Great product if you have the G series just wait for the Revain price to drop.

Love these 3-in-1 cartridges but hate the price

These cartridges are essential if you have a Fluval G6 filter, but the manufacturer recommends replacing them every few weeks! It will cost you almost $600 a year! That's more than the cost of the filter itself! I change them about every 4 1/2 weeks and my 50 gallon tank and fish seem to be doing fine. I've read of other people keeping the cartridge case and filling it with a different product, but haven't tried it yet. I only give it 3 stars because of the high price.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons

I love these filters

I have three Fluval G6 filters (125G, 150G, 210G for freshwater) and a G3 (38G for saltwater). These cartridges make changing filters easier than my Fluval 405 and FX5. One minute instead of 30 minutes. I replace the Tri-Ex cartridge in each filter every 6 weeks. I change and clean the filter cartridges every seven days. Each of my aquariums has a Fluval G-Series and traditional large canister filter. Fluval filters and cartridges are very easy to swap out and swapping out doesn't take long…

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Makes me angry

Effective but expensive

The biggest problem with the G6 is that it only has one chemistry chamber, so I bought a TRI-EX cartridge. The picture shows three different media. I assumed the car would have three chambers, but it isn't. Three chemical media are mixed together in a chamber. The downside to all G-6 chemical cartridges, aside from being expensive, is Fluval's recommendation to replace them every 14 days. The G6 is rated to work with 80- to 160-gallon tanks, so I'm guessing a 14-day shift is rated for a…
