FML27 65 QuadTube Compact Fluorescent Review

In 2010 we bought a floor lamp with this bulb. The first thing I did on December 14, 2010 was order two replacement lamps so that they are always to hand when needed. A little over two years ago I purchased a Verilux Planet Light table lamp from Costco. Around the same time I bought this replacement bulb as a backup from Revain.com and last week when my original Verilux bulb blew out I pulled it out to install it. As others have noted, due to the design of the base, this replacement bulb will not fit and will not allow the bulb to sit without a visible gap. Not available locally so order here. Without trying to install it upside down first --- only works one way :) --- it fits perfectly. The light is very bright white; I usually prefer a slightly warmer light, but it gets the job done. Arrived quickly in good condition. Can't speak to durability yet (our previous replacement was from another company and was very short lived) but happy with this purchase and the company for now. REVISED: I lowered my rating.
