Stopped me from selling my bike!

Bought for my wife. His bars were way too low so it ended up on me J/K but seriously I think it works great and saves lives. You should be aware that if your hydraulic brake lines are less than a few inches long, they can put extra strain on them when you raise the handlebars.

Well made, looks very sturdy.

I bought a used Mongoose Otero that I love but my neck hurts and I just can't stand the low handlebars. I had to add a stem extender and this adjustable stem to get it up and a little closer, but that fixed the issue. I had to deviate slightly from the maximum extension as it was putting too much tension on one of the shifter cables.

Ideal handlebar position

I bought this to be able to adjust the handlebar position. So far it seems to be working well, but I haven't ridden this stem before. My only complaint is that they could have specified the size of this barrel a little better. The part that attaches to the steering column is 5mm shorter than the one I replaced it with. Easy to fix. You only need to add spaces, but it would be good to know this information in advance.

Good quality

I bought 2 of these for my wife and my bike, one of the stems was fine, it locked securely at +30 degrees setting, the stem for the other bike had play at every degree up and down the setting after tightening to the spec on the bar 10-12Nm. I will ask for a refund and look for a Ritchey 4 axis adjustable stem without the risk of buying another, installing it and finding that it has play in the angle adjustment. If the other one starts failing I will come back and update my review.

Pros
  • Sport
Cons
  • Something different

I really wanted to like the thing and trust her. Anything over 45 degrees becomes visible. Bought for use at 60Β°. This step requires the single bolt holding the handlebar to be severely turned to mitigate the visible and excessive play between the meshing teeth, whereupon the device will creak and pop under normal lateral pressure while riding. I switched to a fixed non-adjustable stem after 2 rides. I don't set my rear end on a single 1/4" stainless steel machine screw threaded into aluminum…

Pros
  • Sports and outdoor activities
Cons
  • A bit of variety
