Seat post for bicycle. Thumbs up.

Nice new bike seat post. This rack has two screws that hold the bike seat posts in place. Most only have one. Because this one has two, you can adjust the seat angle from front to back. In addition, the presence of two screws fixes the seat angle. Comes very long. You have to shorten it.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Broke on the first ride. Best in Parts & Components

I'm far from a little guy, but I didn't expect the seatpost design to stretch and deform to the point where it couldn't be tightened. Hard landing at a cyclocross and suddenly the saddle was sliding back and forth during the race. Wasn't expecting much for the price but was still disappointed.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Socket required

Worthy replacement for amateur cyclists

Good basic seatpost. I had to get this because the stem that came with my bike bolted right onto the saddle when I went to replace it and it was impossible to separate them. I'm not an experienced cyclist, but fitting the saddle was easy. I only had to forge one of the parts. I had a hard time getting him to lean forward so he was parallel to the floor, but that's okay, he's just not parallel.

Very strong, look elsewhere for a lighter weight.

This is a simple seatpost, it works. Not the lightest but for the price I just cut off what I didn't need, now it's super light. For those with tilt issues there is a bolt right in the middle of the top of the seatpost, remove the clamps and you'll see. Loosen or tighten the screw and tilt as needed. This item is very strong, don't worry about failure. Be sure to apply assembly paste to prevent slipping and squeaking. This post won't win any weight awards, but it will work great until you saveโ€ฆ

Good base seat tube

I found the adjustment feature easy to use, adjusting the seat angle forward or backward was a breeze, one reviewer said it was difficult, not that much I think had to I cut the seat tube too long on my 17" GT Aggressor Pro because it had screws in the seat tube to attach the bottle cage, they prevented the seat tube from extending further down, otherwise it would have been the perfect length. I give it 4 stars minus one star for the paintwork, I don't think it will last. The paint came offโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Stays in place but doesn't lean forward far enough

If you're like me, look for a cheap two-bolt seatpost because you might like to tilt your saddle forward. And maybe the one-bolt seatpost that came with your bike just doesn't hold up well enough and slips off. Then at the end the nose of the seat protrudes from the crotch. This is the first two bolt seat post I have tried and I was very pleased to try it and see that my saddle stays at the exact angle I set it to. I could probably get used to it, but for me the furthest that can be adjusted is

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • ill thought out
