Genuine Ford CL3Z-9942528-B Tailgate Nameplate Review

This is an OEM part. Same part number as the one that fell off my truck. Don't buy stick-on types. This has two posts that plug in and fasten under pressure.

The size was right and it ripped in seconds. I gave lower value for money just because the price of a badge seemed high. And so it is with all Ford products. Otherwise, the device met my expectations.

This is the part that's popping up all over the internet if you look up the part number on a backup of the original "CL34-402A16-BA". This replacement has better tabs which allows the nameplate to be removable if needed, but is very poorly made as it is offset half an inch to the left when installed.

I hesitated with this purchase as I received 2 replies to my question that it would not fit my ranger. The original was torn off in an automatic car wash. Broken identification plate restored, same number and fits perfectly. This new badge comes with mounting clips that have come loose from the badge pillars.
