perfect fit 2012 edge

removing the old one would be easier if i bought an extra tool. Removing the old one was a bit of a lever and pull. However, they sell a handy tool that can simplify the process. The process of installing a new unit is quite simple.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • hard to tell

Powered by 12vdc rear socket on 2016 Ford F150

I bought this to replace my rear console 12vdc socket (at the back of the center console). Using a bouncer's removal tool I was able to remove the 12v core, remove the broken plastic cover and replace it with a new 12v DC cover. The total time to replace the cover was 15 minutes.

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • unreliable

True OEM fit. for key fob

I finally got around to changing this on my 2014 Explorer Sport. Perfect for the 2nd row 12v connector which I broke leaving the lid open while pulling the bag out and catching it. It wasn't easy to replace, it took about 10 minutes to pull it out and less than a minute to put it in. Unlike some of Ford's other OEM plastic parts, this one looked exactly like the original.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Damaged

Difficult to install, fits 2019 Ford F-150

. I've only had my 2019 Ford F-150 for about a month and have already had to replace the 12v cover on the rear console of my pickup truck. I've found two ways to install this and it's difficult to find the correct video online. #1 You can search your console and remove a few parts to get to the 12 volt cap, which I think is a waste of time. #2 (which I did) I took two small flathead screwdrivers and pressed the tabs inside the 12v connector. You have to push very hard to break or push the taps…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
