Best replacement for control arms and parts

These parts work great. My ball joints were actually pretty good, but the control arms themselves on my 08 GT were starting to rust and peel (it was a New Jersey car in all that salty winter slush). I knew it wouldn't be wise to keep riding hard with them and since the ball joints were bound to fail I decided to just swap both sides at once. Direct Substitutions.

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • Quality

Shelby parts on the GT!

This is a direct install OEM upgrade to a factory GT or V-6 suspension. Fits exactly the same and I reused the factory hardware. If you are ok, you can hold the power steering while you remove the front lower arm bolt. No orientation changes. Improved ball joints and stronger wishbone design. For the price, this is a great upgrade using Ford factory parts.

Pros
  • Easy Install

  • Negative Torque Present

Too good for spares for Mustang V6

My wife had an annoying moaning, squeaking noise from the front of the car when the brakes were applied. This is on a 2005 Mustang V6. It sounded reasonable that they could be the cause of the problem after 180,000 miles. The guns were exchanged in a matter of hours without drama. Mind you, you really need to have a big stick handy to loosen some of these nuts. The groaning problem was still there - it was the brake pads, by the way. Ultimately, these are very high-quality parts at a great…

Excellent quality details.

Excellent quality parts. Significantly more substantial than the original V6 parts. It took almost 2 hours to install them. The hardest part is getting the long bolts out at the front because the inner tie rod boots get in the way. Upper brace mounting bolts, and this allowed the tie rod to move just enough to pull the bolts out. Resetting everything is easier! According to the manual, you can reverse the rear bolts and insert the bolts top to bottom, ratchet tight, then tighten to specs. This…

They work like magic!

Mustangs from 2005 to 2009 Ford had a bad ball joint design. They knew something was wrong when the cars arrived with broken ball joints, even after they were replaced. It had a TSB on it (I don't have a number but I read it). In the end, the entire forearm was redesigned for the 2007 GT500. GT500 Front Lower Control Arms are the recommended part for TSB. Ford has finally packed the new wishbones into the Ford M3075E Race Kit. I have a 2005 Mustang v6 that had the front lower control arms…

good part. work is a little harder.

This is a good replacement for the stock lower control arms. I've watched a few videos online and they tend to underestimate the effort required. The worst parts of the job were removing the steering rack bolts and removing the wishbones. As so often, you learn the lesson on the first page, and the second page is a breeze. I could save about an hour on the first page if I just removed the tie rod end before attempting to remove the part. It wasn't until I removed the tie rod end that I was able
